Update: As of 10:58 all lanes have reopened, according to the State Department of Transportation.
Utica, N.Y. — All lanes of Route 12 northbound in Utica are closed after an accident involving a tractor-trailer and a transformer, police said.
The road is closed at Oswego Street, according to a traffic alert sent by the state Department of Transportation at 8:12 p.m.
A tractor-trailer struck a utility pole and knocked down a transformer, said Sgt. Michael Curley, a spokesperson for the Utica police.
National Grid has put up a new pole and removed debris, Curley said.
On traffic cameras, police can be seen redirecting traffic and a portion of the area is cordoned off with yellow police tape.
